The difference between a doorway page and any other web page is that a doorway page has the INTENTION of bringing you to ANOTHER destination or landing page. Even if it is an article/ blog/ or other website that has a banner ad on it; it can in a real sense, be considered a doorway page. Why? Because the intention it to make you click on a banner and direct you to another page.

Google's ranking criteria for any web page is not based on how those pages were created, (weather by hand, or with software) ...Rather, it is the basic elements of the page itself: Unique content, relevancy,and aesthetically pleasing pages. Google's ranking criteria, is based on what is inside the page.

Purveyors and users of doorway pages are often labeled as unethical or "black hat". Chief among these accusations is the fact that doorway pages are often created from hundreds or even thousands of keywords that only have a slight relevance to what the web searcher is seeking; and ultimately the user ends of going to a different page than they originally intended. This is not in form of an overt "redirect page" but that doorway pages often sidetrack the searcher "coaxing" them to visit a different page than they were originally looking for. Thus comes the undeserved bad reputation in online marketing world gives doorway pages.

Yet you and I are not the only users and distributors of doorway pages. Guess who else is in that game?...You guessed it! The "Big G" Google.
In fact the Google Adsense pages are the most NOTORIOUS OF DOORWAY PAGES ONLINE. Try typing in "blue shoes. The Adsense search results are in fact doorway pages. Google doesn't like to call it that because they would rather take your $2 per click for Google pay per click revenue. How do you think makes billions of dollars per year? Because millions of people are paying Google millions of dollars to SERVE only slightly relevant content in the form of Google Adwords! For example I just typed in "blue shoes" into Google below are the results. How many of those Adwords Ads are directly relevant to "blue shoes"?

Google is getting paid to SERVE doorway pages!!
Google is the largest doorway page system in the world!

All you have to do is bribe Google for for each click (the click goes to the highest bidder) and they will provide you a doorway page that redirects traffic to your website.

Their fancy name for their doorways pages?.....Google Adwords

As long as Google is getting paid in the form of Adwords, I guess it's ok.

So Google may call us savvy users of doorway pages.... "scammers"...

Hey I don't mind being called a scammer. As long as the playing field is level. If we... the savvy users of doorway page technology are to be called scammers.....then we must also dub...Google with the same dubious distinction!

Google seems to own the game, therefore they make the rules (and change them often, as we all know)

Because they own the game, they can cheat... but, as all cheats, they don't like it when someone beats them at their own game!!!

Hi every one just joined this forum community just a quick comment on the big Goo as I call them in reply to you Slick well said!

I agree with you, sometimes though we have to look at things in a different way. I'd rather have Goo as a friend rather than an enemy. They can be our best friend really you just have to read between the lines, what they are trying to do.

Relevancy is the key, and dispose of the not so relevant.

We are not perfect and neither are they, just to say - I see through what is said as to what is done... know what I mean?

Also I had a great session with SEOLogic earlier today and WOW! was I impressed had a good laugh while he helped me sort out some problems talk about take you by the hand and show you what to do! Boy is he switched on and positive, helpful and instructive, what a great deal thanks again SEOLogic!

And something else, I have being doing some keyword research and could hardly believe some keywords for adwords campaigns like paying $50 for keywords like "insurance", "mortgage"and "lawyer". Not so good if you are paying for each click using adwords. However, if you have an adsense site the clicks pay well!
